I was asked to show my art at an event called Life held on Thursdays at The Distillery in Downtown Sacramento. This event was put together for local artist to have a place to showcase and people to have a good time. Emcee’s would rap and the Dj’s would do their thing. I didn’t know it would be a Valley HI reunion in there though.
Getting Ready for the show
Showing art with Mikey Dewitt a Sacramento Living Tattoo Legend. How do get so lucky to show my art with all of these great artist?
Inspired by a Jared Paul spoken word at a Sage Francis show. In the speech he points out other dead beat presidents had been thrown out in their second term. So ” M – peach – bush ” 2006.
(I like how the bush is shaped like a “w”)
I made shirts with this on it, very limited edition of 12.
I was moved to go out in the streets and do a little exercise
This guys is great and his sign pretty much says it all.
Some people don’t like when you Exercise
Then we were Promised it would all be over…..
maybe I should start working on another shirt.
This was soo strange. It was like I made this piece for This show. I was finished with this piece long before I seen the flyer.
I took advantage of being able to paint on the walls this time : If it’s not your word… It’s just words.
I miss this piece I left it there to keep it safe from getting dirty.
and it was taken in sacrifice by the art gods.
Very sad
& sooo strange
EMER VS. DRONE !
This is a big f@$king deal
On this flyer I am “other local artists”
Thumbs up to Sol Collective for having such a beautiful place for us to show our art.
Also for letting us do what we want to the walls for the show. I will take you up on this offer next time.
Peace to all the artist who showed at this event Hermano, Emagn, Rapski, there may be more sorry if I missed you
This XL canvas to be used as the backdrop for the fashion show arrived at the house. Collaborative project with Alex Galaviz a local painter now based out of S.F.
All Ready for me to get started
Only time to drop a bomb on it
One thing I learned at this show, there is a fine line between Art Show and garage sale DON’T CROSS IT
We were also doing live art while the show went on
